Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 in 1983) is a famous American actor. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she quit high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. She was struggling to get by at the time she landed her first part in the acting world in the film Rachel's Room's lead character. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She was the main role for two seasons, and won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. She appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. The actress reprised her character as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith who's both the star-gazer and a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager when she appeared in small role in films made by her father. In addition, she was a part of her brother in 2001's famous film Donnie Darko. In 2002, she starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. She appeared in numerous commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However it was her performance in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a single mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she was in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 Apart from her character as a Secret Service agent, she has also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). Her most recent roles include the protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded an award at the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
